Kati Lohr
Leadership Coach & Culture Consultant
LPC-MHSP, NCC, ACS, CETII
I've built organizations like the ones I'm advising on. Before I coached or consulted, I co-founded and scaled five behavioral health companies: a group outpatient mental health practice, a non-profit fundraising entity, a residential substance use treatment program, a niche outpatient program, and lastly a remote-first telehealth organization that scaled to serve 32 states. They all went through the exact inflection points my clients are facing now: pressures from rapid growth, culture breakdowns, M&A pressures, and other areas that can challenge the mission and vision an organization strives to achieve.
The pattern I keep coming back to: what looks like a performance or retention problem is almost always a leadership and culture-design problem underneath. In my first company, we assumed patients needed a better clinical program. What they actually needed was staff who'd been vetted, developed, and held to a standard — the clinical outcomes followed from that. The same diagnosis held true at scale: when our remote culture started to struggle, we evaluated, measured and turned it around — achieving above-average retention. The fix wasn't a new HR policy, it was rebuilding enough trust between leadership and frontline teams so people could voice what wasn't working, allowing us to fix the systems and support the people.
I've worked as a counselor, a consultant, and a coach, and I know the difference matters. A counselor is a clinician. A consultant is an expert who brings experience and answers. A coach is a partner who helps you find your own answers through insight and awareness. At Lohr Advisors I coach leaders and consult with organizations, and I always tell you which role I'm in.
-
Leadership coaching for individuals and teams, and culture consulting for organizations. Coaching is the core of the practice. Consulting extends it when the work needs to reach the whole system.
-
I've been the clinician, the founder, and the executive, so I understand the pressure from every seat. And I'm always clear whether I'm coaching you or advising you.

Leaders at every level: CEOs, founders, senior executives, and managers growing into bigger roles
Healthcare organizations: health systems, payers, behavioral health, and addiction treatment
Growth-stage and PE-backed teams navigating scale, mergers, or acquisition
Nonprofit executives and boards building lasting cultures
That's the lens I bring to both sides of my work. As a coach, I'm a partner: I help leaders see their own patterns clearly and decide who they want to become. As a consultant, I'm the expert: I look past the stated problem to the leadership behaviors and systems driving it. Either way, I've made some of the costly mistakes myself, so my clients don't have to.
Where the Palette Comes From
Every color in this brand comes from a photograph I took in the places that reset me: The Caribbean, on the shores above the ocean surface and scuba diving below; and, the rocky tide lines and ocean currents of the Pacific Northwest. I chose them because they hold what good leadership holds: depth, clarity, and the patience to grow.
Scales the growth you can't see day to day, recorded in who you become.
Clear water lets you see what's beneath the surface.
You can't control the weather. You can learn to hold course in it.
